I bring you good tidings of great joy, as I share the stories of several of my friends who are living and sharing their purpose and passion. May you be inspired to find your own joy this holiday season!

“It was pretty much the most alive I’ve felt in years!”

10392343_10152693393182670_2848450583737033210_nThat was the text I got after my friend Pam’s holiday show at Flirty Girl fitness, where she has put in countless hours elevating pole dancing (and herself) to an art form! An unlikely place to find joy? Maybe, but that’s the beauty of it. Isn’t joy sweeter when it’s unexpected and out of the box? Pam is a pioneer in proving that the way to happiness isn’t  a straight and narrow path. Sometimes it’s a strong and sturdy pole!

“My joy is through the roof!”

He now has a chance to stretch his legs again with his new friend, Tank, who may have stubby legs, but at 1,000 pounds, is no lightweight. Keith and Tank are meeting as part of a federally-funded equine therapy program called Balance For Life that will have Keith riding, exercising, healing, and finding joy, every week for the next year!

“Climbing Kilimanjaro with my wife and the rest of this terrific team is truly climbing for my life.”

12246797_10154423112983289_6859357517177186922_nA week before his 50th birthday, Jeff was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of cancer that affects the bone marrow. He underwent stem cell transplants and went into a temporary remission that lasted nearly 5 years. In that time, Jeff managed to maintain his active lifestyle by running in several marathons, including Chicago and New York, as part of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Team for Cures. Now, Jeff and his wife Ramona are ready to move mountains to find a cure. Next month, they’ll raise funds for MMRF by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. It’s been a goal of Jeff’s since the 4th grade, when he told his classmates that one day he wanted to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and see the endless herds on the Serengeti. Want a taste of Jeff’s joy? Help him reach his goal by donating HERE!
